Fun Facts about our College !
- Did you know our Executive Director, Jim Smolinski, spends approximately $3000 a month (that’s $36,000 a year!) to help offset the cost of student parking.
- Did you know the bus pass attendance policy was created by a student committee? The students decided among themselves that the criteria to receive a discounted bus pass would be perfect attendance for the week prior to buying the pass.
- Did you know the book bags and flash drives that new students receive are paid for by the Executive Director, Jim Smolinski? Each book bag costs $30 and each flash drive costs $10. No other Lincoln College of Technology school (formerly Southwestern) gives the new students a book bag and flash drive to start their college career!
- Student Satisfaction Survey: Yes it's that time of year again! Our corporate office, Lincoln Educational Services, requires the student satisfaction survey to be conducted twice a year. All students must participate and it is a wonderful opportunity to share your honest opinions and ideas. Here are just some examples of changes the school made because of your opinions on this survey:
The 3rd floor student lounge was created.
The designated smoking area in the parking lot was built.
Enhanced cleaning of the floors, classrooms, and restrooms.
New paper towel and soap dispensers in the 3rd floor women's
restroom.
Pre-planning for larger library space.
From the Admissions Department:
- Don’t forget to participate in Bring a Friend to School Day. Any friends that you bring to school must be at least seventeen years of age. See your admissions rep to register your friend. Remaining dates this month are April 20th and April 21st.
From the Student Services Department:
- The Education Department will be handing out Perfect Attendance, Dean’s List and President’s List Awards May 3rd and May 4th times are TBA.
- There will be a Cinco de Mayo Celebration on May 5th. Nachos will be sold for $2.00. Times and location TBA.
